I went to see Goddess Dance and I loved it. Your artistic vision and creativity are amazing. The poetry in the lyrics are wonderful as well as the poetry in the movements. Your performance was marvelous as was that of the members of your show.

Last Sunday, Jehan urged me to go watch this year's version of "Goddessdance" (I told her I had watched the show last year and was so enthralled I took a workshop with her shortly afterwards). Well, I'm glad I followed her suggestion! The show is beautiful, and its theatrical text, very rich. I'm telling all my bellydancing friends about it.

There is a show in NYC called Goddess Dance that is
fantastic.  I saw it and highly recommend it.  It is beautiful, stunning -- costumes, stage set, (belly) dance and song.  It is like being in a ritual--entering a Temple.

Fans of the GODDESS will love "Jehan's Goddessdance," a fabulous theatrical experience that celebrates the Goddess through belly dancing, storytelling and song. I went to see it with my friend Barbara Biziou, author of The Joys of Everyday Ritual and creator of the new Barbara Biziou's Simple Solutions For Stress series, and we were entranced.

The dancers were so mesmerizing and the stories told are so compelling. But most of all, the message is POWERFUL. Goddessdance brings the Goddesses of history to life and reminds us that the Divine Feminine Lives ... and that she is in us all. It LITERALLY holds up a mirror to our own divinity.

The music for this "ecstatic celebration of Divine mystery" is FABULOUS -- particularly the deep and soulful solos by jazz singer Alice Ridley. Oh baby! She is a big, beautiful powerhouse who was born to play the role of Mother Earth.

Thank you so much for the invitation to the show. I have already passed it on and Sandy Levine, one of the Open Center progam directors, will definitely atttend. It's a fabulous show and I've spoken highly of it to everyone I know with an interest in dance and performance.
